As I’ve said before, I’m sick of most comic book movies (can you imagine; ten years ago comic book films were my favourite thing, and look at us now – thank you hollywood for ruining things). HOWEVER. I’m pretty fucking excited about Venom. Because i’ve been waiting for a Venom movie for over a decade.

Not sure if i’m excited to see more of heterowashed Deadpool though. So I’m probably not going to see Deadpool 2. I’m not looking forward to another Deadpool movie with a gross ten minute hetero sex montage. Because LOL, I remember how excited I was about Deadpool and then they sort of ruined it by making the entire movie mostly for het dudebros and now I’m not even sure if i want to see the new movie. They keep turning Deadpool into this het dudebro hero which he really is not. Heterosexual men get to relate to him because they just watch the movies and never pick up any Deadpool comic books, in which he’s queer as fuck.

(And YES we all know that pan and bi characters can be with whomever but…. as a bi person, it’s pretty tiring to see “bi representation” in which the character’s same-sex attraction is pretty much just ignored and tbh that’s not proper bi representation to me. They could do it the other way round, for a change. Give me a m/m romance that’s explicit as fuck, and then there’s that small mention of “oh btw i like girls too, sometimes”. Instead, they give stuff like in Wonder Woman which is a story completely built around a m/f romance and the same-sex attraction of the character is mentioned so delicately that you can easily miss it; it’s not even explicitly stated because hollywood is homophobic as fuck.)
