There’s this episode of The Simpsons where the crazy cat lady meets the crazy dog man. And that’s just… so obviously Hawke and Anders. Anders is a crazy cat lady apostate, Hawke is a crazy dog man – this is all basically canon. It’s a love story between a dog person and a cat person.

Thinking about it, people who label Anders as a terrorrist are actually seriously creepy.

You take a game riddled with unnecessary violence, where you as the player slaughter hundreds, thousands of people and at least half of them for no other reason than having picked crime over starvation (or in the case of qunari even just for having made the choice to live), and you point at this one character who kills a few dozen in order to stop institutional abuse and dehumanization and call him a terrorist.

You take a man who tries peaceful protests for at least 6 years and finally resolves to violence in the face of a certain slaughter of innocent people, and you call him a terrorist.

When someone decides to get violent in a last resort attempt to save innocent people from getting killed without any reason… is he a terrorist? Is it terror to murder in self defense? Especially in a world where death happens over a wrong sideways look? People slaughter each other gruesomely over perceived insults and miscommunication, but the man desperate to give innocents a fair chance at survival is the terrorist?

I’m sorry but I’m genuinely concerned about people who can put the label ‘terrorist’ on a fictional character in this sort of context.

Anders telling Hawke “I’m too dangerous, you wouldn’t want to be with a dangerous person like me” and Garrett motherfucking Hawke is like “bitch I’m more dangerous than you, I just killed a guy for a sandwich, marry me.”
