Last week I started my internship in this “media shop”, where we get to do all kinds of media-related work. We sometimes visit art galleries and exhibitions as a group (like last week we went to the World Press Photo exhibition). Today we visited the new art museum in Helsinki, Amos Rex, and saw their current exhibition “Massless” (by teamLab). It’s an interactive light show basically. And it is amazing.

I was legit crying during the last installation (”Crows are Chased and the Chasing Crows are Destined to be Chased as well, Transcending Space”). I was just overwhelmed by emotion, because you just sort of… lose yourself into it; it’s all around you and you can physically feel the vibrations of it. And the music is just amazing. Could not stop the tears or the chills from coming.

I had to go see it two more times. During those times I was no longer crying but I still got goosebumps. I was sitting on the floor because it was wonderful to experience it like that as well (also, it’s a good idea to sit since you can potentially get dizzy during this installation).

I got a video of it, but obviously you’d have to experience it yourself to truly understand how brilliant it is. You get to be SURROUNDED by the music and the entire light show and it’s just laskjfljsdhjöoasjklg. Brilliant.

So I haven’t talked about this because it makes me anxious but my dog has been with my mom a bit longer than expected (she came to pick him up before my trip). He had a fractured tooth that needed to be taken care of, and I can’t really pay for something as expensive as tooth removal at a private vet clinic. The thing is, all the clinics are private in Helsinki or otherwise expensive af.

Luckily my mom managed to get an appointment from a good, affordable clinic in my old home town. And yesterday the tooth got taken care of and the dog got medication for his infection too and I’m relieved.

Now I’m traveling there to bring the puppy home, but yay I also get to spend the weekend at “home home”.
